Two of my kids are starting to dive with a third possibly starting soon.
We dive freshwater lakes and there isn't much reason or opportunity to go below 40 feet. I have a dive computer of my own, an Oceanic Geo 2.0, which works great for me.
I had planned to get my kids the Deep Six dive computer for Christmas. Well, that didn't work out, because it wasn't available, and still isn't, and perhaps Godot will show up first.
I would like to get my kids some cheap DCs to use for now. Cost is the main consideration because we'll end up replacing them before going on any dives where NDLs are limiting. Something used. Something wrist mount, with no air integration. A depth gauge and bottom timer would be sufficient but they seem more expensive than DCs.
Any advice on what to look for?
Or shall I wait and see if Godot shows up after all?
