How about censorship bingo instead?

Each Mod can have a scorecard and then they can get a bunch of ping pong balls with a forum and a post #. First one to fill up the score card gets to hand out a free vacation. :D

Well, it would be a bit boring if we were all cynical pessimists! :D

Good stuff CAN happen - it just doesn't receive as much press.......

I've been a member of a Canon photography forum for several months now. The membership is around twice as many as here. I've yet to see anything like a fight over there. Civility rules. In fact I'm not even sure I've seen anything moderated. It probably is, but I didn't notice it yet.

We recently abolished the moderator staff on our local diving forum (I'm one of the former mods) ... because we realized that nobody had been moderated in so long that a moderator staff wasn't necessary.

We've had a couple of potential train wrecks there over the past two or three years ... but the participants ended up moderating themselves.

So it IS possible ... it's simply a matter of people deciding that's the sort of forum they want.

Not everyone wants to emulate the talk show hosts, ya know ... or tune in to other people being rude to each other ...

fyi Frosty the Snowman is not a hymn.
Of course he's a hymn ... otherwise it'd be Frosty the Snowwoman ... :blinking:

<groan>

Of course this begs the question... If it's not anatomically correct how do you know if it's a snowmman or woman? It could just be a tomboyish snowwoman dressed like a guy. Or a cross dressing snowman. Or, er, nevermind I think I'll shut up about snowmen now after looking back over at my SB badge...

well, i have no problem with the snowman being a man; it can stay a man. most countries are classified as female anyway.

thinking about what Bob says brings me to the thought that perhaps it is human nature to challenge restrictions. the more it is made obvious it is forbidden, the more obvious the need to taunt it. but im on my third glass of margarita now and therefore, theories like this i will not hold my sober self responsible.

although, maybe we should have a free-mod week in SB and see if anybody misbehaves. :rofl2:

Someone else with gender issues huh? Well at least DrBill managed to sort his out....so there's an example at least! ;)

Reminds me of the old riddle......what's the difference between snowmen and snowwomen?

... a carrot and a coupla lumps of coal ... :eyebrow:

:rofl2: :rofl2: but neither of them have 'em. i guess the women melted it off the snowmen.

:rofl2: so strange that i find this too funny.
