I will be in cozumel for two weeks. Is it,worth it to do a cenote day with salty endeavors. Is the bull shark dive worth it?

If you haven't experienced a cenote dive like Dos Ojos on the mainland IMO it is definitely worth spending a day doing it. You most likely have never dived in water that clear except maybe in a swimming pool, and the cave formations are simply beautiful.

I won't comment on the bull shark dives; I've not done one and I don't plan to.

If the port is closed, or the weather is bad, the cenotes are a great alternative.
Download a wind app before your trip and plan based on the forecast,

Well worth the day trip across on the ferry. There are a few shops that arrange the whole thing from Cozumel. Dives are amazing.

some hate the cenotes. some love it. my brother and i did a day trip many years ago from coz to dive with scott from protec.
it was amazing. but in hind site we should not have been diving where we were.
a couple that was with us sat out the second dive as they were not comfortable entering where we were entering.
my advise is to go to one of the better lit ones like dos ojos as was suggested above.
it will be an easy and fun experience.
what you dont want is to end up in one of the darker ones like tajma ha imho, just in case it is not your thing.

Yes, a cenote day can be a wonderful experience. I didn't know that Henry had added that to his site and it's down at the moment, but I'd expect it to be well done by him.

Never done it.

I’ve done cenotes twice, the first time from Cozumel, the second time from Playa. Both times were at Dos Ojos, which is a truly spectacular environment. It was a really long day from Cozumel and I had fewer than 100 dives in my logbook. I enjoyed it, certainly enough to do it again a few years and about 400 dives later. I was far more comfortable and enjoyed it a lot more the second time. I didn’t really feel unsafe the first time, I just wasn’t as comfortable with my buoyancy and other skills. Enjoyed it the first time, enjoyed it a lot more the second time. Just be ready to be challenged by the environment and maybe be a little out of your comfort zone. I certainly thought it was worth it. Since then, I have just been enjoying Cozumel reefs so much that I haven’t taken the time to go back.

Same here. Like you said, it made for a bit of a long day from Cozumel, but I am really glad we did it.

Cenote Tajma-Ha (also called Taj Mahal) is halfway between PDC & Tulum, in my opinion the most beautiful cenote near Cozumel.

Cenote Angelita is worth the drive just past Tulum. There's an underwater cloud layer of hydrogen sulfide, it's very cool to drop underneath it. Bit of a deeper dive.

Don't forget the mosquito repellent and I'd suggest bringing your own lunch & drinks in addition to whatever the dive op provides

I've done 11. I love them. If you need fish and coral, they won't be your thing. If you love caves, and fossils, and light shows, and think haloclines are cool, and don't mind the dark and tight spaces, you will think they are awesome. Some are less dark than others, some are wider than others. Some have fish. Angelita goes down to 130 feet , a few only are 30 feet deep. Ive found every one amazing!!
