anyone know what its been like this week(Dr.Bill)???

On Saturday, viz at Casino Point was about 30', water temperature was about 58F at about 50 fsw. The big tide change may have affected viz in a negative manner.

Have heard vis of 40 ft or more. Haven't been in since last weekend. We did Farnsworth Bank then so conditions there aren't relevant to the leeward side. Will be diving Farnsworth again tomorrow, but the leeward side most likely Sat and Sun so I'll try to give a report.

Avalon Bay looks pretty crystal right now!

Did a couple dives @ Casino Point yesterday (Sunday AM 2/5). Had incredible visibility somewhere near 60' or more in places, lower in others (out over sand).

Walked down to the pier today and it was crystal clear in the Bay! I thought I'd died and gone to... the tropics (you know, that HOT place) because the water was so clear. I had left all my dive gear on the King Neptune Sat night (thinking I'd go out Sun but I slept through the alarm) so I hopped on board the glassbottom boat just to see what Lover's Cove looked like. At least 50-60 ft there!

Excellent news! Some of us are coming over for the weekend. Can't wait to work with the Camera. Hopefully viz will be excellent!

Cool... if the King Neptune doesn't go out, I'll see you at the Park. We had an awesome weekend of diving Farnsworth, Ship Rock and Bird Rock last weekend.

Looks like the King Neptune will be going out both days this weekend so I'll be with them. Our trip yesterday was canceled FIFTEEN MINUTES before the dive boat was to depart when the four divers scheduled to go called from the mainland to say they couldn't make it. Grrrr.

Conditions here seem to be holding nicely so it should be a good weekend to be underwater. The early morning fog (I was up at 5:00 so my brain was in a fog as well) has lifted and it is looking great.

This is wonderful! We are scheduled to go out to Catalina on the 26th, so I'm glad to hear the conditions are currently wonderful!!!! :D
