Carnival rescheduled?

The are building a very large temporary music venue on the corner just south of Mega, and our cab driver night before last told us that they have rescheduled Carnival to start this Sunday.

Pre-carnival starts tomorrow. King/queen elections and such. As far as I know the dates in May are valid for carnival. They are closing off the street south of 11 on Melgar for a block or two now.

I do not care about Carnival at all, but I am afraid it will complicate our nightly dinner plans over the next 10 days that we are here.

The Cozumel Carnival is a month long event with dance competitions and various activities through the actual Carnival week, which will be 18 thru 25th of May. Typically the parades are on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday of that week.

May 13 Voting night, kings of diversity
May 14 Youth kings election.
May 15 Popular presentation for children and youth kings.
I don't know how public these are or where.

May 18 is Coronation of Kings
