Wow, I thought Barcos was banned by the government or someone.
They are. The boats are anchored and the people hanging out in the Barcos Caribe ticket booths aren't selling tickets. They were there in May too.

Just took the ferry both directions in the last week. The two choices I saw were WinJet and UltraMar. UltraMar is faster.

Do you mean Mexico Waterjet?

I did see an attendant at the Barcos desk after disembarking in PDC, but I did not notice the boat except for the two moored up slightly offshore in Cozumel. UltraMar is faster than Barcos, too from my past experience.

Looks like Mexico Waterjets has re-branded to Winjet??

Pretty sure the ticket booths and the boats said, "WinJet."

Fast ferry/slow ferry.

Is there a significant difference in time one company makes the trip? If so, which is the fastest/slowest?

TIA

Barcos is still out of business.

I have always gone with Mex Waterjets/Winjet. They have been cheaper when I have compared them to Ultramar. As for speed... I think the difference is pretty negligible. Maybe you will get there 5 mins earlier than Ultramar.... maybe.

I am sure Ultramar is just fine, but Winjet has always been good for mr so I likely will just stay with them.

Does this mean Mexican Waterjet is no longer there? They say they guarantee punctuality. One time there was no 8:00 pm Ultramar and we had to wait an extra hour and wished we had bought the Waterjet tickets.
