Headed out with high hopes to check a new wreck out on Saturday. Smoking current (2.5-3 knots) topside, but light on the bottom with decent vis and about 70 degrees (F). Turned out to be a busted down trawler. Hardly anything left aside from debris. Lots of very nice grouper on the wreck though.

Came back in and hit the BARBARA ANN, which was a trawler rammed and sunk by a freighter. Fun little wreck with portholes and other trinkets still to be found. No current, but colder on the bottom - like 63F.

Followed that with a visit to the NOAH SMITH and had worse vis and not much fish to speak of - some snook and a couple AJs amidst a bunch of bait fish.

Cheers,
Mike

Thanks for the report. How deep was the first wreck? I'm curious because of the temperature difference.
