I purchased a blue dry suit on ebay and put new cuffs in it. It seem to be perfectly functional now. The sell did not know the brand. The old seals had stamps in them that said sept 1988 and oct 1988.

Can anyone identify the brand and era of this suit?

Pictures are here : http://www.scubaboard.com/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/500/ppuser/41145

Thanks!

1988?

Have you looked "deep inside" the suit? There is probably a manufacturer label, etc.

Somewhat hard to discern make without a full body shot...but I'll give it a go. OS systems - http://www.ossystems.com/diving/ X

I will take a full body shot today and post it. I tried to upload the ebay photos, but they were too small.

I will also look deep inside the suit.

Thanks.

I don't know, but then I'm no expert.

Is that velcro around the neck seal? If it is I would think that it is a pretty distinctive feature and should help someone figure it out.

Yup, that is velcro around the collar. It actually got a little in the way putting on the new neck seal.

OK gang, the full suit shots are up here: http://www.scubaboard.com/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/500/ppuser/41145

I would like to know the brand, so I can learn if there are any quirks about this particular suit.

Thanks!

That was quick! I would still say that it is an older OS systems suits from the detailing. Look at OS's Nautilus suit. The other thought I had was an older USIA suit. Personally, I was never too crazy about the fit of either make. However, they were good deals at the time. Is there prize for the correct guess! :) Just kidding. X

Yeah, you can come to missouri and dive the suit once! I sure hope the seals fit you! :scared:

The valves look right for late-80's but I don't recall shoulder dumps back that far.....It's probably newer. I had one of the first Bare tilam suits (before they were called Bare). They were all custom made and they were blue from head to toe so although I don't know *what* it is, I'd say it's probably not a Bare.
