Here's a very short clip of how beautiful it was on the Duane the other day. It's amazing to me that the GoPro picks up such vibrant colors while diving at +/- 100 ft. of depth using the correct filter! And this is shot using NO lighting at all...just the filter. I am very happy with the purchase of this filter system and would recommend it highly.

Sorry I missed you guys! Classes kept me from crashing your party. Let me know next time and I'll see if I can tag along on a dive or two.

OK NetDoc...now you're on the spot. I'm putting you on notice...the 2nd Annual Cajun Invasion will be rolling into Key Largo the week of June 14th! Your presence is requested for diving and GUMBO! We will be entertaining "adopted" Cajuns from all over the country and introducing them to the marvels of Key Largo. We need a good Key Largo Ambassador :D Maybe while you're at it, you can order up some Chamber of Commerce weather for us :rofl3:

Maybe we'll set up our big LSU tent in the Rainbow Reef Dive Center parking lot for the gumbo party...better bring your Florida gear :cheerleader:

Hi Carol,

We dove BHB a few days ago and had 3 ft of viz. Are you able to do any shore dives with the port closed? We were at Scuba Club once when the port was closed and they wouldn't let us shore dive--it was a pretty rough at the shore........Today in PSL, we have windy conditions with sunshine and 75F on the porch--very pleasant except NO diving!

Hey Jim:

Sorry I didn't respond sooner....re-entry is ugly! Anyhow, to answer your question, no we couldn't do shore dives at the Blue Angel. Getting in could've been done if one was to jump off the dock. But to get out you'd have to exit at the shore (no ladder on dock) and would end up getting smashed into the rocks close to shore. The sea was violent! Even jumping off the dock would've been challenging. On Saturday morning it was clear the dock took a beating because about 8-9 boards had come loose. Dang it was hard to lose two days of diving!!!

Gator Gumbo and Key Deer! Yummy Cajun Surf and Turf.
Don't forget the manatee steaks and Bald Eagle souffle'.

Don't know about that Chamber of Commerce weather, but June is usually a better bet than this time of year.
And if you are serving GUMBO, count us in :D...please remind us a few weeks in advance.
