I too am heading to Cabo. Traveling with 3 non divers and the original plans where to port in Cozumel and Belize (I would have loved it). They settled on Cabo. Looking around it looks like March is not the month to be in Cabo and all the good dives are May-Jan. I am looking for a good dive op thats reputable w/ boat, nitrox and english speaking DMs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. In addition this my first trip outside the US. Most of my diving has been done in Maui and the central US states (Neb,Colo,NM). I want to get 4 to 6 dives in during my visit as well and if anyone has any must dive sites please advise.

Cabo can be good diving, it's just that the water isn't that warm or that clear. I would make sure you take a warm wetsuit and a hood (or rent one). Check out tripadvisor for info on the places to stay, I like Solmar, Playa Grande and Finisterra. I use Amigos del Mar dive op mostly when i go to Cabo, they are close to the resorts I mentioned and they have good rental gear, nice DMs and comfy boats, I'm not sure about the Nitrox but you can email or call and they will let you know or check out their website. My favourite dive sites are Sea Lion rock (Land's End) and Neptune's Finger also Cabo Pulmo. Have fun.
Oh yeah, you have to go to the Giggling Marlin and watch their show (it's around 10pm) it's riske but very funny.

Hello Divers.I have dove in Cabo in March and it was great water was 68 vis was 45 feet. There were so many fish at peligan rock they blotted out the sun. Also a giant grouper must have been 300 Lbs.
next Dive was at the Sea lions Colony there was 40 or so Lions. They came right up to us within 3 or 4 feet. There was also a school of small barracuda and a big green Sea turtle.
I dive with Baja Dive located in The Tesoro Los Cabos Resort on The marina Boardwalk.
They have a 40 foot Boat that has s wide deck and full hard top for lots of shade. They take 5 Divers per Dive Master.
All Dive Masters speak English and are very good Divers. They always help me get my gear on and take it to and from the Boat wash and dry it free of charge.
I have dove with all the shops in Cabo over the last 15 years diving there but only Dive vwith Baja because I get the same great service every time I Dive.
Nitrox is available.
