Looking forward to a report when you get back! Have a great trip!
Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip tonight on the recommendation of the dive shop. Cabo is supposed to get bad storms with it possibility turning into a hurricane so they said IF they even go out at all, it would only be to local Cabo - no trips to the Corridor, La Paz, etc. Since we booked this trip to specifically dive, we decided there was no reason to go and sit inside a hotel room and not be able to dive.

Hopefully we will get there another time soon.

Hope so too! Did you get a 2nd opinion from any other dive shop or from hotel/resort you were staying at? Weather Channel shows days next week with only 20% chance of rain and/or evening thunderstorms possible.

TrevorJBrown - what would you be telling travelers to Cabo or La Paz next week?

Windfinder.com - Wind and weather forecast La Paz Airport
National Hurricane Center
That pretty much sums it up
:shakehead:

If you can't cancel there are land tours, I don't know if they will be affected.
If anything there should be some big waves coming in and that's always a thrill to watch if you rent a car and get out to the beach.
Hi Trevor,
So you are saying you wouldn't dive either? We were scheduled to dive on September 3 in Cabo, September 4 in the Corridor and September 5 in La Paz. We don't want to make the trip if we are only going to possibly be able to dive in Cabo - we want to be able to dive the other spots too. I can cancel everything and only lose 5% from the shuttle service we hired to take us RT from the airport to hotel and we used frequent flyer miles so we have until January 7, 2018 to re-book to somewhere at no cost or if we want to just bank our miles back to use at a later than that date, then we have to pay $150 each (but I did buy insurance so I would need to see if they would help out with that cost but I doubt it as I am finding out the insurance seems to be worthless). We would get a full refund from the dive shop and for our hotel. In your opinion are we better canceling and finding another time to come? If so, I would love to pick your brain more about the diving in La Paz opposed to Cabo.
Thanks!

The forecast is calling for the storm to die down on Sat night. It is possible you could be diving Sunday but hey... it's the weather. If it was me I would re-schedule.
Pm me if you want some more info about the diving in La Paz.
