    No; if you only dive 2 deco mixes in AL40s it's a solid method

    Lets not over react :wink:
    You take as much air as you need. You share if your equipment fails, but you should not go on a dive expecting to run out of air and expect to use your buddy. To guarantee this, you calculate your SAC rate and plan the dive accordingly... That is all.

    You will ALWAYS share the air in an emergency, in case that was not clear in the message above... :wink:

    Yeah, but how much air are you keeping in reserve. Which method were you taught? 1/3rds, Min Gas?

    Yes 1/3rd in reserve and 12L alluminium tanks equals x11.3. Why did you reacted they way you did? May I ask?

    You didn't mention your reserve in any of the posts up until now. It seemed odd.

    In the end I did buy nearly - minus the dive computers - from Amphibian Sports, helped by James, which buy the way is a really nice chap. I am hopping to try it out this week-end.
