Where did you find the little black piece between the metal and the bungee?

those came with the fins. I removed the spring straps from that black piece and added the bungee instead.

Personally I like to stash the things inside the thing

Necro of the old thread but as it happens I am now thinking about those OMS Slipstreams and have the very same boot, Fourth Element Amphibian. Hence in order to alleviate my great "what fin size to get" conundrum, would you be so kind as to let me know the fin/boot size ? I could then use this as a solid reference point.

Here’s how I handled the problem.

I made straps out of 12” long thick rubber HD tie down straps. The stainless steel attachments were made out of 1/8” stainless rod that I bent in a vice and then squeezed them into the holes with a pair of channel locks. The open end is in the center of the fin holes. Easy to do.
The commercial urchin divers gave me this pro tip since everything they do has to be HD and problem free. If they start to wear or crack the problem is telling before it fails so it’s easy to stay on top of it. I’ve been doing this to all my fins for years and have never had one break.

I'm going crazier, I'm at least seeing at least double

Which OMS Slipstreams are you talking about Willis, and I'm still working on those boots and fins

boot size ?

What size are you thanks chief

Sorry, I somehow missed your reply.
Pulled the trigger on OMS Slipstream XL size after all - fits my Fourth Element Pelagic boots ok. The Amphibian model rather not, will need XXL size fin. Both boots are 44 EU size.
Scubapro Nova Gorilla in L size fits both, with the Amphibian a bit tight but still goes in.

Now just need top figure out how to get those bloody pins out to replace spring with bungee ;}
