You make about zero sense. Do you actually read your own posts? What kind of moron would take a non sealed reg into a thirty degree environmet? It will free flow, it will freeze your gums and it will decrease your life expectency. Of course you guys are all buddy dependant so you will kill two people for the price of one. I know you just might get a paper cut, but crack the books for gods sake.Web Monkey:How about not diving in 30-something degree water without a cold-water reg? While it's great to not try to provoke a freeflow, what happens if you actually need to breath heavier due to exertion or stress, or another diver needs to share air with you?
Would you fly in a plane where the captain told everybody to "leave their reading lights off so the engines wouldn't stall"?

I make zero sense for recommending that someone diving in freezing cold water might want an actual cold-water regulator?SwimJim:You make about zero sense. Do you actually read your own posts? Actually, unless i need glasses BADLY everyone is talking about breahting from a free flowing regulator, which is NOT neccesarilly a frozen regulator..Web Monkey:I make zero sense for recommending that someone diving in freezing cold water might want an actual cold-water regulator?
Hey, whatever floats your boat.
Everybody is talking about how to handle a regulator freezup, while my preference is to dive a reg that doesn't freeze.
