Currently I'm using the DR 32# weight system as pockets, since I need only 6# of ditchable weight, the rest of the space is used to store things like sausage, goody bag, mini strobe, ect. everything is cliped to the internal Dring in the unlikely situation I have to ditch the weight, everything will stay with me except the weight.

Also use a DR tight pocket for the UK SL6 and a DR quick access pocket for the lift bag (pocket under the BP.

When carrying the Halcyon Life raft (high seas and strong current)(carry it once about every 50 or so dives) , I stow it in the OMS BP Pad with integral pocket, similar to the halcyon mentioned before.

Use of inner tube liberaly and you probably won't need any pokets at all.

Hi to you (and Scuba Jenny),
Have you two considered adding storage pockets to your wetsuits?
That is what I've seen other divers do.
Sincerely,

SouthEastFloridaDiver:
I recently changed from a jacket-style BCD (Oceanic Probe) to BP/W (from www.deepoutdoors.com).

What I miss with the BP/W are pockets to store stuff. On my jacket-style BCD, I had lots of large pockets, which held everything, like gloves (in case I take them off during the dive), lift bag, knife, slate, small light, etc. I don't have any pockets with my BP/W combination, so everything has to be clipped on.

Is this the way it's supposed to be? Are there other options? I really like the BP/W, but I miss the pockets...

Dive rite makes a thigh pocket that sort of straps on your leg and the harness that gives you a thigh pocket without having to glue a pocket on your wetsuit. I got one because it sounds like a good idea but I hated it. It moves around and snags on stuff and isnt really that big anyway. I bought it used from someone on scubaboard and the best part of the purchase was the SS screws he included for something else he sold me many months earlier! (thanks Boogie711 :) ) For me the money would have been better spent on some glue and a pocket.
I also happen to have a Dive Rite thigh pocket for sale if you have been dazzled by my sales pitch.

Henry don't tell me this! I just got the Dive rite thigh pocket you're talking about and was going to try it out today when I dive. I'll let ya know what I think. ;)

Good thread because I'm always wondering as well where you should stash stuff. I mostly need a pocket for the wetnotes, extra mask, because that conformed wrist slate is a PITA. The one i have is too big to stay comfortably on my arm. I wonder if they make smaller ones for women? I guess the manufacturers are thinking of guys when they design most of this stuff.

I got one of the DR Tight Pocket and just eliminated the elastic straps, it kept shifting around so I got rid of the straps and sewed the extra extraps in the place of the elastics.

Can't wait to try the new modification

I usualy end up clipping tons of stuff on the butt d-ring. spools, reels, lights, whatever. It just lays between your legs out of the draft..
