Tell me about the legend?

Although I've never met the man, he owns Carib Inn(the link I posted) I've read here and on Bonairetalk that he was one of the pioneers of diving on Bonaire, like Bob Soto is to Cayman, someone who helped make it possible for us to enjoy diving there. And people have mentioned what a genuinely nice and accommodating person he is. I chose to believe what he has to say.

Seriously...and I'm a pessimist by nature.

Maybe we should encourage this though, and keep the secret to ourselves....

I fully understand that, you heard that from nice people, realiable people, that he was a great guy, good resort. Im sure it's true.

I spent a week in bonaire last July and had a fantastic vacation with absolutely ZERO problems! The little village is named Rincon and it was one of my favorite places! I cant beleive that someone was attacked- the locals there went out of their way to wave and say hello. We ate at the Rose Inn in Rincon twice because we felt so welcomed there and the food was fantastic!I even had a complete stranger buy me a beer there!
I have done my share of traveling and lived in Puerto Rico as a kid for six years-you want to talk about crime....dont get me started about that place or Mexico!

I left Bonaire with sadness as we met and spent some time with some wonderful,warm and caring people. I have never felt so welcomed in anyplace I have been too!

Pilotfish- you seem to bash Bonaire every opportunity you get! If you are unhappy with the Island and dont like it-DONT GO THERE!
Let people decide for themselves!
I agree Herman! Where did this guy endup..?Doesnt sound like the Bonaire I visited..?

I agree, people need to make up thier own minds and that is why they should have both sides. Wouldn't you agree?

The dives are very easy to locate, just look for a rock about the size of a basketball painted bright yellow beside the road. Here is a link to best map I know of on line.

Would you please do me a great favor? Please point out, if you will, where I have been rude and "tried to pick a fight"? I assure you, neither one of those are my intention, so I'd like to see where you think I was rude? Could you do that for me? I'd like to be sure I wasn't unintentionally rude. Thanks.
