You are one lucky lady to be able witness such a sight. Without doubt, the most graceful creatures in the sea. For future reference, which site were you at when you saw this? Inquiring minds need to know!

Now THAT is a secret...privileged information. Your Coz dive shop should know where it is...although not all will take you there :)

Christi:
Sorry, the schooling Eagle Rays are very seasonal (December - Feb) and they'll be long gone by June :(

Hey! No Fair! I was there in Feb. and I didn't get to see a whole squadron. I want a refund! ;)

One of these days i'll get that trip report up... you guys will be bored by it though. Another one of those "BlueXT~Sea Was The Best" reports you read about aaalllllll the time.

In all seriousness, Christi runs a great operation, she has 2 awesome DMs, a nice boat, windbreakers, towels, hot muffins and of course Mago. Oh, and most importantly... a great attitude!

Hi Christi,

2 emails in the last 48 hours. I'm getting your automated replies. Am I in your spam folder too? ;)

Thanks,

Scott

Just so everyone knows: I did get the second one last night. The first one has gone to that big bit bucket in the sky, I guess!

Since Christie is not chiming in here - you have to know the WHOLE story - it was just like a cartoon !!!!
I was with Christie & the group, we were down about 20 - 22 minutes and not a single eagle ray.We had the feeling they might be a no show...

I was with Christi and Holly and it was truly a wonderful dive. It was the first time I went on that site and it was very rewarding. Unlike Christi and Holly, I saw 30 eagle rays. I was having a little bit of trouble with my mask and must have missed a group but my father assures me that there were 42 of them. The eagle rays came in three groups consisting of 10-17 rays. After diving with a couple of other dive shops, my father and I chose to dive with Christi this trip for the first time. We were very pleased with Blue XT Sea and would like to dive with her again when we return to Mexico. She was the best that we have seen. The crew was very hospitable and Pedro was a wonderful divemaster and made us feel even more a home under the sea. :)

At which dive site did you see the Eagle Rays?

Matt
Matt, when I was there in December, Liquid Blue took us to an eagle ray viewing site and asked us not to tell where it was or what the name was. Probably the same site and probably the same request from Christi. You'll just have to go to Coz and ask your dive op of choice if they will take you to see the eagle rays when they are in season.
