Thats all it needs is a hair. The one i have is def a thermo and the other is from amazon. Both are a hair too long. I can get the reg on without the insert but that does no good lolBy a hair iirc. I think every stock blue steel ones I’ve ever seen have green o-rings.
Ive tried two different inserts so far. Neither worked.I looked up the specifications on the valve and it is a convertible valve. I would try a different insert.

IIRC, that is a Blue Steel on the right....
it is shorter than the adjacent one my a very slight amount.
Note also the slight difference in the crown....
