Well, I changed my mind about hanging up the fins for the winter months. With the temps to be around 50 Divin' Hoosier and I have decided to take a dip.
Blue Springs, Waldron, IN. Friday the 26th around 9.
I don't think we will need it but I will bring a small heater and the ez-up.

You forgot two words Jim.....OR ELSE. :D

First you would have to dye your hair blond and then have a sex change for us to get you that low. But we will try our best to get you as close as possible. Hope you can make it.

I wonder if it will be (at least thinly) frozen, with the cold snap we are currently experiencing.

With the temps being in the 40-50's I doubt it. I thought about that though. If it is we will deal with it.

Given the depth of BS I seriously doubt there's any ice yet. The water should still be cooling and turning over. Typically it doesn't freeze until late Jan or early Feb and then stays frozen for only 4-5 weeks as most. It may freeze over a week or two earlier than normal, but freezing over in Dec would be unprecedented. There may be some ice in the shallows, but I doubt there will be any along the deep wall and over the majority of the quarry.

There is a post about Whitestar, it isn't froze over as of last week. If they aren't froze then BS shouldn't be either.

Well, let me know how the conditions are. I have to work Friday, but I need to start getting out again. Hopefully January will give us some good conditions.
