I suppose you are trolling but here goes: Of course it is. (more sacrilege alert) Especially if you have a spear gun instead, Lion Fish control for example.

A reminder ... there are, or used to be lurkers that would use our intel to collect critters.

Yeah but he didn't say where he was keeping the Popeye's chicken. The lurkers will never find it. (I know - I looked for it.)

Like things that make you REALLY wish that you had your camera!
Well you either have it or you don't. When I don't bring a camera I enjoy the multitudes of fish swimming together or randomly. I'll actually see things like squid or eagle rays. The dive is more about relaxing and taking it all in (which I also tend to do a fair amount anyway, I don't take tons of photos, the other night I took maybe 35 and half of them were of that nudi. haha)

I know a lot of folks that dive the bridge favor macro photography. I would say to carry something along to grab a medium field subject should the opportunity arise. You would hate to miss shooting one of these guys should one swim by and doing it justice with a macro rig just won't happen. This hammerhead shark was estimated at around 12 ft. and was chasing a ray perhaps within a half mile south of the bridge today west of Peanut Island.
