Poor Ana! You just haven't had the epiphany. You haven't seen the light.
I used to collect only rotted tennis shoes and torn underwear at BHB... but then one day the Blue Heron Dive Gods guided me to the light. (Actually they were too busy that day so they got somebody else to do it... but I digress.) I learned that when I collect those treasures it robs the natural wildlife (the ones hanging out in the parking lot) of their stuff. Everybody knows the natural joy of entering the water, finding a torn and stained Fruit of the Loom classic, and wearing it around for a while. What happens when the BVD at BHB Collectors scoop up all theses treasures? How many land mammals are denied the opportunity to experience the sea in these BVBs because of the thoughtless acts of The Collectors?

Not me, I've seen the light. I'll pray for you sistah!
:doctor:

So now we must be concerned with the ppm of bvd at bhb?

Hey all, I lost my 67mm Inon diopter on the west side yesterday. A low tide search did not yield the result I was looking for. If you happened to of found it yesterday or find it in the future, I would much appreciate its return.

As I sit here near the lifeguard shack waiting for high tide, some people in the water found a cool critter. The lifeguard was quick to tell them not to take it out of the water. :thumb:

This seems as good a place as any to ask. Maybe this is a stupid question with an obvious answer.

I'm stopping at the BHB in July for a weekday noon dive. I'll be on a road trip from Daytona to Key Largo and the timing (tide) is perfect!

I'm from Oregon, so I will have a rental car. More and more frequently, rental cars have a key FOB with integrated key/remote. Sometimes they have a separate FOB, but the key and FOB are permanently connected on a crimped wire ring. If I am unable to separate a key from the FOB/ring, what do I do? How can I dive, and secure all my stuff?

I don't want to make this more complicated than need be. I don't want to have to buy a combination lock-box or some other crazy device to protect the keys.

Anyone have any advice?

There's a shop in the park now...don't recall their name but I'm sure someone here can provide it. If you were renting tanks or getting fills there, perhaps they'll hold your keys.

No harm in asking...

:cool2: Locked mine in the car once by accident(of course!). AAA was there in 30 minutes, which is about all I could stand Bob W ribbing me for not having a back up plan like a push button door opener.

..speaking of lost keys.. I must be on a (lost) roll by now.. I lost my car keys. Luckily my buddy found them in the sand. :whew:

I have a software program that calculates the partial pressure of racing stripes in BVDs found at BHB. Some of the customization factors involve whether it was previously worn, whether it is naturally occurring or was gathered by a collector, and whether the maker of the stripe was breathing nitrox. So far it appears that most BVDs from BHB are fairly toxic at even shallow depths, but DAN is doing some research that suggests that sneakers found at BHB might add a safety factor when trying on these BVDs. Too many risk factors for this old diver. You know the saying about old vs bold divers... it was amended to include moldy and cold divers who collect stuff.

But does it factor in the purity of free diving bvd's?

There's key shop just past the bridge on the right that has been very helpful to us. They made a copy of key for a ridiculously small price in a very short period of time. If all services worked like theirs, the world would be a better place. :)

Kevin
Was that the key to finding small critters you had copied?
As in, when are you coming back down???

I could really use a 2nd Inon adapter for some super macro and yours just so happens to be the same thread size as mine.
