Does the park ever hit parking capacity? Should I be worried about a non-holiday weekday visit?

On weekends, especially during the summer, a lack of parking is the single biggest problem. During weekdays I don't think it will be an issue.

Just called them. It is Stuart Scuba. They have everything I need, and even have lock boxes for car keys!!

woot woot

Thank you for finding this out! I wondered what everyone did with their keys. You have made me a happy puppy, I'm heading there in a few weeks and don't have any buddies to sit ion the sand and wait/watch stuff.

I could really use a 2nd Inon adapter for some super macro and yours just so happens to be the same thread size as mine. ;)
karma, my friend, can be a be---otch... :ijs: ;)

no PMs with happy news of the diopter being found.. :( :(

Was that the key to finding small critters you had copied?
As in, when are you coming back down???
John

Looks like I left out a couple of "a's". Weird. I usually proof-read.

Dove today. Actually, *tried* to dive twice today. Carrying my fins, camera, and dive flag, I was about to make it out past the breakers at LBTS when one of the fins came off my finger. No luck finding it. Just as well, as some other folks reported no more than six feet of viz, even well out past the end of the pier. Did you know that dive shops won't sell you one fin? :D

Great conditions at the bridge today. Lots of male pikeblennies, several batches of yellow garden eels, a couple of spotfin jawfish, and even a pair of little striated froggies. Fun dive. Will be here through Saturday, and can't rule out an early morning dive Sunday. . .

Did they tell you what brand of lock boxes and a price? I'll be in FL later this summer and hope to get some (solo) dives in at the bridge as it's all my budget will allow this year.

You should be OK with weekdays.. Weekends can be tough especially if the high tide falls from mid morning through late afternoon. I (gasp!) braved the crowds and went up on Monday. Got there at at 9:10 am for a 2:39 pm high tide and the parking lot was already about 3/4 full.
I did a dive last year on Memorial day with high tide around 7:30 am. We got there at 5:45 am (and I live an hour+ away.. yawn!) and the first row was full. BBQ going strong already. Quite the taste bud overload getting out of the water to all the delicious smelling food..

I'm thinking the same. I love early morning dives at BHB.

Actually, I probably *can* rule it out, as it will be too late after Saturday's dive to get the tank refilled. . .
