Did anyone find a pair of Scuba Pro booties on the west side this morning? A friend left hers on the sidewalk after the night dive last night and sure would like to get them back .....

Thanks, Linda

If you have not checked with Force E, please do so--someone was there for the store last night.

Thanks, that is the first place we checked, but no luck. I know people who find things are frequently nice enough to turn them in to Force E :)

How has vis been with the rough ocean water. Still decent? Might try for Sunday morning.

This morning was reported to be good and looked like the water was clear on the webcam. We are planning on going tomorrow, I'll make sure to let you know how it is.

Vis was a very decent 35-40ft. Temp was recorded by my buddy at 75°. Water temp of the water after the tide change was much cooler and a bit green. Despite how windy it was, the diving area is pretty well protected. Upon leaving, at the top of the bridge looking north, we saw white caps as far as the eye could see.

Got to play with the diopters! Woot! Learned that using diopters greatly enhances the opportunity to get blurred photos! LOL New learning curve!

Flickr Search: buffalo trunkfish is all of my pics that I've labeled as "buffalo trunkfish" (Lactophrys trigonus) from the bridge on Flickr. I could be wrong. I have a theory that each stage/color of the "sponge bobs" mimics something else in the environment - including the little "float balls" on sargassum and a couple of different kinds of mangrove seeds, sea grape seeds, and buttonwood (Conocarpus erectus) seeds. Just guessing. . . Benjamin Victor sez he calls the stage in the (approximately) baseball to softball size "greenies" - IMG_4648wb | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

It looks a lot like the buffalo trunkfish and I say that is as good an ID as ever. Maybe the black on the sides of the juvies threw me off..

you've got quite the collection of photos there! thanks.
