Great find, between that and the butterfly ray you found earlier you are way ahead on my hit list critters!
Love the Babilonia! Heard the nudi sightings have been thin.
Really need to get back up there.

A minute later at that same spot, the nudi had disappeared under the sand. Lucky me.

Thanks John. The rays I just stumble upon. Dumb luck. It's the seahorses I "stalk."
In any case you do need to get up there again soon! Just watch out for the LEO's. 😉

My work schedule and the tides this week aligned perfectly for another morning dive yesterday. Viz was a good 50 ft until the tide turned and my Suunto reported 75 degrees. It was, in a word, exquisite.

sometimes it's the locals, the ones that are overlooked that like to get their photo taken. :)

and when trying to take a shot of another critter, you get photo bombed by a hairy blenny..

Finding a sand dweller or any other territorially advantaged camouflage specialist is more than luck though it may be a huge component!
But 75!!!!!!!!!!!

Jenny-
great stuff!
I was telling another videotog the other day that the bridge never disappoints since mastering the "locals" hones the ability to capture the "rare" with justice or at least less panic.....
Need to layer up and start catching the new "snowbirds"......
John

I couldn't find a single seahorse today...and I know that if I take the wide angle lens next time, my lucky streak with eagle rays will run out! Was able to find another juvenile batfish, though.

Looking forward to a dive or two at BHB, next week. Sounds like nearby reef dives maybe closed out by rough seas...
Suggestions?

Suggestions? Dive the bridge. Check tide tables. Bring a flag, and get there early to secure a parking spot.
