In the 4 times that I dove there, including a night dive, I never saw anyone in doubles setup. The dive is so shallow that most can easily get 2 hours out of an aluminum 80. I am not an expert on the BHB by any stretch, but your double should get you more time than the tide will allow.

The thing that was surprising to me, is that if you are moving at exploration level shipwreck penetration speeds ( very slowly with no silting for any reason whatever) , the double 80's are night and day more stable than single tanks, and exponentially more so than single steels ( the fat steels with much extra weight and vertical height to roll you side to side)....Also, the wings on a set of doubles are like pontoons on a wide catamaran, in that they are much more effective on keeping you stable than is possible with a single tank rig.
So for nudibranch hunting, or octopus, or anything else that requires slow going, the doubles are pretty awesome!!!

See since im down for a day I wanna explore everything so ill be moving. Id be in my doubles lol.. also id be willing to pay an experienced bhb diver to show me around

High tide on march 4 is 5:05pm does that mean we get in the water at 4pm? Is there anyone that wants to be a dive guide on 3/4 for the day for some $$

I've seen GUE guys training and working on skills in doubles.

When I dive the bridge with my buddy, I'm the flag guy. He likes to move around between the piling and around the fishing pier with his camera. I don't like taking the flag through there, so I'll hover outside practicing buoyancy skills while focusing on the bottom and watching it come alive. A macro photogs dream.

Guys. Nobody here is gonna let you give them money. Even the dive shop that does the night dives does so at no charge.

Sounds like it makes sense. Every time I dove there, it was in a drysuit with a single steel 120 which is what I am use to up north. I think I saw you there. The guy with the doubles set up and the split fins. ;)

I had a 2 hour 13 minute dive today with the Bouyancy Babes. The water temp was 75 with viz between 25-30 ft. We had a great dive and saw some nice nudies and a big sidegill seaslug, balloon and batfish plus a few other lovelies which made for a great time. I don't care what they say about you two...you're all right in my book!
The only damper for me was tearing the wrist seal on my dry suit, but the good folks at SeaSoft are going to expedite the repairs. No dive for me tomorrow I'll be mailing a drysuit lol. Guess you'll see a cold troll for a couple of weeks.

Not sure the tide will work for a day dive when I am there again the 2nd week of March but we will see. I have my diffuser for my strobe so I am ready to go!
