Usually webinars (or in this case, fish-inars!) work like this: You log into the website where the presentation will be displayed for you to see. You then dial the number with a phone in order to hear the audio. It's usually best to do this with a 'speaker phone' so you don't have to hold the phone the whole time. This is my guess for how this will go down.

Looks like I'm going to be dragged, kicking and screaming, further into the world of technology.

I'm *also* thinking that I've attended webinars what supplied their *own* dern noise, no??

Within the The Reef Set, you'd want to look towards the back of the "Reef *Creature* ID" book. Honored to help, Miss Jenny. :D

Amazing how stuff is easier to find when using the right book. :D thanks!

I have done quite a few of these webinars. Hopefully those in charge will mute everyone so we don't have to listen to people burping and farting in the background and listening to a TV in the background or hearing their kids screaming. I have heard a lot of stuff when people don't mute themselves and the people in charge don't do a mass mute. Sometimes it is quite funny when people don't realize everyone else can hear them. :)
Everybody was muted during the presentation.
If you computer has speakers, no need to dial in.

These days, yes. But sometimes people use old technology or they give both options. See Jenny's quote below.

Anyone diving friday 02-17-12. If I am reading my tide chart correctly it looks like a 4:41 pm high tide with
a 6:13 pm sunset. Anyone with a viz report for last two days ?

Had a nice 104 minute dive this afternoon. Vis started out decent 25-30' but as soon as the tide turned it got real green. 73-75 deg.

It was batfish city! I counted 8 of them! Also saw some nice sized spotted morays, a purplemouth moray, pipefish, pike blenny, several jawfish, and a pair of SH's (one preggo) Watched a sheepshead trying to stir up trouble with a huge hermit crab. All in all a fantastic dive! Should have some pics to put up later (and some from last saturday too)

I dropped down just south of the little bridge as that small spotted eagle ray was cruising by. Waited out the incoming tide and
proceeded to the bridge. Nice lighting to the north of bridge and after exploring a bit started back south under bridge and viz
was at its' best, nice blue cast and pleasant. I showed 76F for the temp and neared 85 minutes for the dive. A very good late
afternoon dive !

Glad you found some seahorses today. There were lots of octopus too.
My computer read 75-77 and the water seems very comfortable.
