So Kevin - does this mean your faith in the bridge has been renewed and we'll be seeing you more often? :)

I had a nice dive today with the J's. No seahorses or manatee. "Only" five octopuses, a baby reef squid, a weird tree-looking worm that I hope Jenny got a photo of before he hid back in his little hidey-hole, garden eels, plus the usual.

Am thinking about trying for around 1230 tomorrow afternoon.

Sounds like a good day.
I have been seeing packs of small squid about pinky length but they stay too far ahead for decent video.
Oh the "tree looking worm" sounds familar, there is a sea cucumber that extrudes his feeding tendrils (black with white trim) up from the sand and retracts curling back up if bothered i.e. video lights....
I may go tomorrow, anybody planning to be there???

John

Has construction stopped on the East Side bridge?

Lots of folks are diving there so I would say yes.
Am doing east side again today.

Here is my (not very good image) it is a banded or lavender tube-dwelling anemone

Here is a better image I took of a different one in September.
They are lovely and you can usually approach very closely if you move slowly and take your time just like everything else there.

As usual it is great to dive with the Bouyancy Babes
