Seahorse stuff

I know Laz Ruda has an awesome shot of a seahorse giving birth, one of the better ones I've seen. It is on page 265 of the original BHB thread.
Sorry I'm not tech savy enough to post a link.

The divers on Sat. were clustered around the pregnant seahorse for a long time hoping for a photo of the actual birthing, they let me shoot a few seconds of video but I didn't see any babies leaking out.

Found this: Underwater Photos :: TheLivingSea.com and am quite jealous. :D (Might have to do a "search" on the site for seahorses and their babies)

I've also been googling around trying to figger out what the names are for the various species of those guys at the bridge. Apparently only *some* of the Lined Seahorses have all those "cirri" dangling off of them. I saw my first one on the way back to the entry last Friday. My camera battery soon died on my 60mm setup. . .

Kev-
Yes, that is Laz's site.
Some impressive material, both stills and vid.
Can't wait for weekend to do it again.

So, how do you reckon he finds the time to edit all that epic video? :D You making any progress? I keep meaning to get to mine. . .

Fortunately, when my battery died, I was able to reach for backup for the first time. Looks like it could become a habit.

Love the second picture but remember don't use any easily identifiable background, from the picture I can tell that seahorse is right by the DSLR reef.....
John

looks just north of DSLR reef ?????
