I don’t want to veer too far off topic, but I definitely feel like shark week is not for anyone that actually cares about sharks or the underwater environment. I feel bad for the scientists they convince to participate in these shows.

Anymore I think you are absolutely correct. It didn't used to be that way. I tape them all in search of the occasional nugget of actual science. Most I delete in the first 2-3 minutes. Finding those nuggets are few and far between these days.

Came along the snorkel trail and passed us in the shallows just next to the west bridge
That was on Friday. Always a treat .
