Early on in the thread you said you weren't interested in the VRX for various reasons.

This is just a rebranded VRX.

Here's a $uper good reason:

AND you have to purcha$e the PIN for Trimix.

While Hollis:

Ah, an excellent reason. You're comparing 2 different machines though. So, just as info, that's the original VRX, the new VRX oled is actually being advertised at about the same price.

AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!! :bonk:

Okay, Bottom Line: Everyone loves their Predator | X1 | VRx.

X1 had a bit of a stumble when they started but were exceptionally serviced and and are now considered equally reliable in the past year or so.

I'm told (haven't shopped yet) the three computers are comparable in price.

So it all comes down to what feels good in your hands.

Well, hasn't this all been an exercise in futility?!?!? :whistling:

:rofl3:

VGM Algorythm...don't know anything about it.

So maybe start with the qualifying votes of why not to own something and weigh what's personally important to you.

X1 - Fits and starts early on, (unsure of but assume) no physical connection to CCR if you decide to take your diving there eventually.
Predator - Large, additional costs to leverage VPM-B
Hollis - New guy on the block
VRx - Old guy on the block (other various)

I've seen them hardwired into a Revo. No Fischer connector. Turns out it's a pain in the buttocks.

i say not to factor in future ccr/sccr diving unless that's in your plan for the next year. buy a computer one or two steps ahead of where you are, not five steps ahead.

yes, jax, they're all reasonably equivalent. start trolling for a used one & you can score for less than $1k. whatever comes up that you can get is fine.
