The only practical advantage of the octo-inflator is as a way to get people to use primary donate when they are afraid to use anything that isn't being pushed by their lds and the manufacturers that supply their display racks of equipment. A month later they can go find something that allows them to separate their inflator hose from their secondary for those times when they might actually need their secondary to breathe from. I see it as training wheels for a proper equipment setup. BTW is anyone in the market for a very lightly used Airsource3?what @runsongas said, preferably rigged with some sort of primary donate hose routing so the secondary is on a suicide strap around your neck.
There are no practical advantages to something like the AirII, only theoretical. Even the theoretical ones break down VERY quickly though
