It's all good. :D Getting unintentionally dropped off on an island... now that would be funny.

ps - maybe if I started posting some pictures it would liven this thread up some. I'm really a friendly guy when you get to know me.
Actually, there are some good dive sites on Whidbey Island ... ;)

Ok, well these aren't 'lively', but here's what I did tonight while I watched the Pit Bull - nature vs. nurture debate.

One step closer to dive day...

Nice neck seal repair job!

Thanks Sasquatch! :D Tonight was more drysuit work. This time it was making a set of PacketSniffer's drygloves for little bro.

T-minus 8 days and counting!

I'm working on trip planning today and got stuck. Can someone please tell me the name of the dive shop that is nearest to Seacrest Park? I've read in a review of Cove 2 that there is a shop 1.5 miles away but for the life of me I can't find any reference to identify it. Thanks!

-Ben

I believe that shop is no longer in business.

Bummer. Any suggestions for a shop close to the park? I'm just looking for tanks and fills that are close. Thanks!

You might be better off finding a shop that's close to where you are staying. There's nothing I know of very close to Seacrest.

Thursday on the way over to pick me up for the journey, Jake's truck developed a bad vibration. A quick check revealed a bad driveline universal-joint. Rather than drop the truck at a shop and hope for a quick turn around we opted to bust out the tools and keep fate in our own hands. 40 minutes later and we were on the road to Seattle! We made our way to the inn we picked just a few miles from Alki beach, but we arrived right at sunset. We chose to skip our first planned dive (Thursday afternoon) since it would be dark before we reached the beach and neither of us had been here before. So we got settled in and did some pre-dive gear tidying-up.
