As usual, this place proves to be a good source of suggestions/info. Thanks guys. This is the time of year I start bouncing off the walls and want to crush someone. Nothing cures it like getting face-to-mask with a shark in 60 feet or looking into the deck gun of a U boat off the N.C. coast.

Hmmm, somehow I think the shark will be on the loosing team! :D Both the Dive Rite TransPac, TransPlate, OMS comfort Harness along with Tobin's back plates will work great for someone your size. It's just a matter of which style you want to use. R U going for rugged simplicity, in which case one of Tobin's Tall/wide backplates with a simple 2" webbing harness will do. If you want more comfort, the TransPac, or Zeagle will work for you. If you want comfort AND a SS backplate, then go for one of Tobin's Tall Back Plates along with either a Trans Plate or Comfort Harness. Your best bet is to try as many of these as you can in at least a pool setting if not in Open Water. As far as fitting you with a back plate, call Tobin and he will be able to give you the best advice.
Hope this helps.
Safe Diving,
George

Another vote for the Wing & Backplate option!

There are lots of options available - Dive Rite, Halcyon and OMS being the market leaders.

If you opted for a basic webbing harness, it would simply be a case of buying the correct length of material and it would fit like a glove, regardless of your size or bodyshape.
