Like it says on the tin...

I can find a lot of 13x all over. I could make my own activated charcoal, but I'd rather buy it in the correctly sieved size for this application. Apparently hopcalite/Monoxycon is expensive as hell.

I see nuvair and lawrence factor. I don't think I need a gallon of each for a personal use compressor.

Next question will be what filter am I refilling. I am working on a custom fill (I live in a very humid area).

So, does anyone in reasonable shipping to East Tennessee USA ever have sales on these products, or am I just pretty much going to have to pay what I'm finding?

Thanks!

Both AC and 13x are sold by the quart

Ahhh yes getting the cheapest media! It's your life value it however much you wish.

I assumed that would be one of the responses. Given the variables of profit, I am simply looking for someone who perhaps has a sale or something.

Otherwise, I'd just buy media off of alibaba and call it a day!

Yeah if you find the right stuff at better prices it's the right stuff
Just because others, only know how to follow without question

They're saving money using the natural elements, the sun here

I'll bite... Do you really consider 13X desiccant to be that expensive? Is there something obvious I am missing?

You can buy a quart for 28 bucks at Lawrence Factor (filter techs) Lawrence Factor Molecular Sieve CF-244212-SR

A small P-21 type filter cartridge holds something like ~68 grams of 13X if I remember correctly. You said small personal compressor so I am just making an assumption, obviously you could go with a larger filter cartridge.

So 28 bucks gets something like ~1000 grams of 13X. Granted a P21 filter is not very large filter but you could refill it something like 14 times so it's like 2 dollars a fill? I didn't do the math for the gallon size containers but I imagine it's even cheaper?

Napkin math
15 hours (avg filter time) x 14 fills = 210 hours

Nope
In my first post, I said I can find 13x everywhere.

It is the hopcalite that appears to be about $200USD a quart. I was hoping to buy it all from one place, develop a relationship with a place, perhaps get set up on automatic ordering, perhaps get discounts on other items as well.

I was hoping for, well we all buy our stuff from this one big shop that buys all this by the drum. They aren't well known but tell them I sent you.

OR

Some place was having a clearance sale. As long as it's properly packed I assume at least two of the three items will keep for some time.

I have a smaller duplex filter system I just obtained, and I haven't figured out mass quantities yet. Without sliding this thread, I am thinking the first chamber is going to be solely 13x. The second will probably be triplex but I want to see what the costs are going to be to see if it is grossly overexpensive relative to the cost of driving one county over during business hours to buy a fill.

Probably need a quart or less of the hopcalite, and the carbon. Still researching on here what the optimum ratios are, and if I need anything else. Not sure what people are actually calling felts yet lol.

Gotcha sorry my reading compression was very poor at 2am last night. I don't really know a cheap source for hopcalite but interested to see what you find.

I have packable scrubber cartridges myself and was originally just using activated charcoal and 13X because I run an electrical compressor and have CO monitor. In the end, I switched back to the generic Lawrence Factor filter cartridges. It was more about convenience to me than money. I don't do high volume and I just quickly wanted to be able to swap out cartridges with no fuss.

I run my first stack solely as dryer with 13X and my 2nd stack as a triplex filter with Activated Charcoal, 13X and Hopcalite
