Thanks for the write up! I've been looking at the Evoke for the last couple of weeks as I always get cold in the water and the promise of being warm on a dive would definitely be worth the price.

I got the 3mm to replace my old Bare 2/3mm, and I love it! Keeps me warm and toasty even on 80-90 minute dives, and even on the 4th dive of the day.

Some of the inner stitching is a bit scratchy, and they've tried to put in pads to cover up the scratchy areas. But it can still get a bit scratchy.

(But I dive in the tropics... water is only 25-28 degrees celsius here)

Well I wound up getting the 5mm in June so 3 trips on suit... very warm but it is pilling at both arm and leg openings so bad that I actually thought I had sand in my wet suit (Lembeh muck diving). The stitching is coming off on the back which causes it to catch on things. The neck is starting to rip as well. Also the material that coats the wet suit between layers on the legs (there are 2 layers with top one having a zipper) sticks together and has actually taken a chunk off of the lower layer. Somewhat disappointed that it will barely last a year for me. Pilling is very uncomfortable.

Cali_diver and Scubakelldy - I'm considering an Evoke, but your reviews have me a bit concerned - any follow-up? Have you talked to Bare? Have the issues gotten worse? Thanks!

I have an Evoke 3mm and 5mm I got within the past 2 months. Haven't worn the 3mm yet. Love the 5mm. Stay nice and toasty warm. I've got about 12 dives on it over the past month. I notice there is some piling around where my crotch strap goes, but that's it.

I have a lot more than 12 dives on mine, but the pilling on mine is on the inside and it is not comfortable... rash guard helps. It has also gotten stretched out a bit(but that started right away)... fills with water too much so I look pretty funny when I get on the boat. Hopefully your suit will hold up!
