I could see that being somewhat of an issue at the surface. If you are weighted properly it should be manageable, though.

An inflated wing, bungeed or un-bungeed will be squeezed and deflated if fully inflated at the surface.

To echo Don's thought in a more straightforward way, Tamas, you were the one repeatedly bashing me.

In fact, Tamas, you were the only one in this thread bashing anyone.

The bungies shouldn't squeeze the air from the bladder since the amount of air added to the bladder is minimal.

I got a bigger bladder than I need 'cause I like to fully inflate the wing and lay back on it while waiting for the boat to pick me up, it's my choice but I can probably dive with a 18# bladder since my 32# DR Travel Wing never gets much air in it while diving, just a few bursts of air and I'm set.

Wow,

This was not intended to be a troll, pitting one diver against another. I'm simply looking for someone who has more dive experience, who has used both styles of wings, run through a series of maneuvers, similar to those suggested by Doc, and who could report the results.

Actually, my fall-back plan is to purchase a set of wings with bungies. If this doesn’t suit my diving needs, I can always cut them off.

The Captn of the boat we charter, call our rigs the the ZODIACS, since they resemble the inflatable boats with that name when we're waiting for him to pick us up. I actually like the comparison lolol

Actually I wasn't bashing anyone....just stating the obvious. But if you were offended, I apologize, my sarcasm is sometimes hard to decipher.... or perhaps I wasn't doing it right!

Don't cut them, just untie them and save them in case you want to install them later.

A bungied wing can be used without the bungies, but a non banded wing can't be used with bungies.

None of which has ever been proven, my friend, just alleged.
Consider the difficulty of orally inflating proved.

Now the excuses of "not adjusted correctly" etc. can begin, which will only drive home the point of: If you don't have bungees, there's nothing to be adjusted incorrectly.

Roak

I honestly don't see how this has been prooved, my main concern when I tested this type of wing the first time, was the dificulty of inflating the wing at any depth or at the surface, and I can honesly say that it's not an issue at all, just some folklore story from a disgrunted diver.
