MOF: mask on forhead. If you don't mind losing your mask why should I?

Best advice I've picked up, especialy for boat diving is always inflate you BC prior to going into the water.

Unless doing negative entry.

-blowing cigarette smoke into air fill machine (not really while underwater)

My son has a habit of farting alot. Wonder what that would do to your gas?

Putting detergent (or spit) into mask and then dipping it back into the bucket.

Yuck. And people still ask me why I prefer to climb out onto the platform to get clean water to rinse my mask.....

Not clipping off your octo, console etc and letting it drag. One of my pet peeves. I will hold mine across my chest if I can't get it to stay put.

Buying something everytime I go to my local LDS, at least my wife tells me that's a bad habit :rofl3: .

Bad habit to avoid:

Spreading your gear out on the boat deck like you're having a freakin' YARD SALE!

Will add to that rinsing your suit and other gear in the camera and mask tubs usualy doesnt go over well either

I see a lot of divers do their safety stop for 3 minutes and then pop right to the surface.

A 3 to 5 minute stop is recomended. I guess they all forget the "to 5 " part of that. You paid for the air, use it. are they in that much of a hurry for the dive to be over?? Even at 30' per minute it should take 30 seconds to go 15'. I try to take a full minute to ascend the last 15 '.

Another thing that looks totally wrong to me is when I see divers standing on the bottom!! :shakehead

Keep your lights in check on night dives!

(and don't take flash pictures of me by tapping me on the shoulder and SNAP! goodbye night vision!)
