I finally talked with Michael Casey II. The portable tank tester is not available from Lawrence Factor. He made those 10 years ago, took that long to sell out, and his cost to make them now would be $140. The market would not bear a $200+ tester so we are out of luck there.

with this kind of tech avaiable it should be mandated by all dive operations. Hell I would pay an extra 10 for getting good air

I appreciate your feelings, but you don't mean that you would pay an extra $10/tank for safer air would you? The problem is serious in my mind but not rampant. I was ready to spend $50 plus cartridges to test my own, but not $200.

On the other hand, it would be pennies/tank if we could pressure the tropical providers into proper equipment, maintenance and training. How can we do that?

We need a scuba diving movie star to lead the cause.
