I just don't log dives
For the primary most people seem to use the 7' hose. On a single tank what hose lenght are you guys using going to your backup. I think a hose too long might be uncomfortable.

I first went with the 22", found it to short and now I have the 24". It works much better for me.

This is good to hear. I have a 22" hose on mine at the moment and can't rotate my head to the left all the way. I thought I was doing something wrong. I didn't want to just go buy a longer hose until I played with hose routing a little more, but it sounds like others are going with the 24" on a single-tank config also.

needs to be long enough so you can turn head left & right. No longer ...
make sure it's not trapped behind some other hose etc. before lengthening though.

I have always used a 24" hose on my double and single tank set ups. I bought a DSS single tank set up and naturally i bought a new 24" hose to go with it and its to long. Who'd figure:confused:

Not a very good pic but you can see it almost hanging over my shoulder

It depends on your first stage. For a single tank setup, I use a 20" hose on my Scubapro MK20/25 but a 22" hose when I was using an Apeks FSR.

Anyway, just use whatever length is comfortable and does not restrict your head movement - just make sure the hose doesn't bulge out over your right shoulder too much.

I use Apeks FSTs for doubles and 24" seems to be the most comfortable length for this particular setup. With Scubapros MK20/25s on doubles, 22" is fine.
