I kinda take issue with this statement on their site
Blackart:
BlackArt backplates are unique in that they are designed to be used with either double or single tank configurations without the use of a separate single tank adaptor. All other backplates on the market require a single tank adaptor or a proprietary wing with a built-in STA to use single tanks however the BlackArt plate simplifies this

I know for a fact that the Zeagle plates do everything that their plates claim to do, and if I'm not mistaken, the DSS does as well. Ya gotta wonder about claims like this one.

For local availability, I'm sure it will work for you. For people in the US, the prices wouldn't be that good after paying shipping.

With the ali plate I would not recomend sanding or use of a dremel as it will take of the anodised layer and premote corrosion. Not sure about the SS but if it has been pasivised then there could be a similar problem.
As I said before I used it on my doubles and had no problem with the built in STA. I could have brought a OMS plate in NZ for similar $ but the SS OMS is well over twice the price.
Blackart paid for half the shipping.

I used a hog harness on my set up but it was too loose on the first dive and after tightening it up for the second dive I had problems getting out of it in the water. So now im going to add a sholder clip and maybe a chest strap.

DSS wings have a built-in STA or stabilizer that does the job, not the plate. I haven't seen a zeagle, but iirc there's some guy selling a product called freedom plate or something that may not require STA's.

Cool. As I said, I wasn't really sure about the DSS, but I'm positive about the Zeagle, because I own one. All it consists of is the plate, camstraps, wing, and harness. At any rate, Blackart is not the only one out there.
