Hello All,
I had my C card a long time ago, but basically did not a whole lot with it, due to financial constraints. Then I got into some other stuff, like skydiving, and forgot about diving. The bug has bitten me again, and I want to get recertified. One of the things that has me worried though, is that I quite often have sinus problems, not infection, but good old fashioned inflammation, and was wondering what other divers do about it, what medications don't cause drowsiness, etc. Thanks!

I would see a ENT and get to the DAN web site as they have some great reads on dive meds and diving, see if they can hook you up with a Diving ENT in your area.
I am no doc but some of the new Allergy I will not say brand X= ________ but have been used by divers and seems to be safe,
But,,, the old Sudafed thing is just not a good idea! I know some old divers still pop it prior to the dive but have seen some dudes freak out on the crap! due to the rapid heart rate,Tight wet suit ,neck seals ect,, so dont use it!
And If you have not dove in a while get a refresher course thru a scuba shop, re-read your book or get a new one things have changed a bit!
Dive safe,
Brad
