Hi Everyone! I'm new here so let me know if I'm breaking rules posting or something. I'm looking for some other ideas from people as to what the heck could be going on with my compressor's auto drain. It's a Mako BAC07. Compressor will run fine for about an hour or two with the drain triggering every 10min as expected, but then after that hour or two the ACD pistons will start sticking in the open position every time the drain cycle starts. Meaning after the 10 seconds of draining the compressor will not build pressure again until the pistons are manually pushed back forward to the closed position. I have already tried changing all the pistons and this did not help. I'm thinking this is somehow temperature related as this doesn't happen within the first hour or two of running. Any ideas or guidance on the next troubleshooting step?

Ok replying to my own post, but mystery finally solved. The larger seal on the inside of the solenoid valve was sticking closed partially after the drain cycle started. Then when the cycle would end the valve was not able to open again to push the pistons back forward. Determined this was the problem by removing the valve entirely after only removing the power had failed to actuate the valve. Completely new valve installed with existing timer and power cable along with a new solenoid switch. Hopefully if anyone else runs into a similar ACD issue this post helps with troubleshooting.
