Ooh nice shots from you all :) Also welcome to the new posters Denis + C8X! We're getting quite a crowd now in the Aussie forum.

I did three great dives today and am soo exhausted now. Got to dive three piers - Blairgowrie, Flinders + Rye, and chilled joined me for the last one at Rye so I will have pictures to post from that dive when he sends them too me :bounce2: Saw five giant stingrays over the dives, they kept startling me as I would turn around to see a huge black thing swimming towards me (viz wasn't so great so couldn't tell what it was until it was close :rofl3:). Also a seal was swimming around at Flinders too and I saw SO many weedies there. Never dived that site before but it is well known for weedies and there is one leafy that lives there as well but only a few people have seen it. I could not find it though, but I got a tip from the dive store so when I go back I can focus my searching more. :)

Welcome aboard SB Denis. Your shot of the EBD sure beats any I got!

That blue grouper is a special friend of Saspotato.... we've been calling it Sas cause she liked it so much.... it was soooooo friendly when she came to visit:rofl3:.... I wonder if we could send it to Melbourne:eyebrow: Do you know anyone heading that direction:blinking:

I think she would get pretty fed up with it spitting rubble in front of her new camera and ruining her shots like it does ours!:shakehead:

I missed this post before. YES please send Sas down! :):) I will pay postage.

I get lonely without my blue grouper friend in Melbourne *sniff* Though today I was followed around by three large smooth rays on one dive, but they were not as cute. Also a starfish attached itself to my butt on my final dive today. This has happened three times now. :shakehead: I attract all the weird sea critters!

Yes, all the time. It's just that nobody but me ever gets to see them. Over the weekend I took about 200 shots on four 75 minute dives, only about a dozen shots will ever see the light of day (or is that computer monitor?). :)

No!!! I do not believe it!!!!!

Here are some pictures from our dive at Rye Pier yesterday:

Pot Belly Seahorse - there have been heaps of these around :)

A gathering of goatfish - the pier was swarming with these!

Think these are baby Velvet leatherjackets, there were big schools around

Tiny seahorse - think it is a White's seahorse, or maybe a baby Pot Belly?

Hi Everyone, Well we went out yesterday on the Osprey V and dived at Norman Reef and Hastings Reef. The weather was good after rain the day before and today. Vis was so/so but Hastings Reef was lovely and we managed to get 3 Dives in which was great. I was really happy with our air consumption too. Generally around 45mins per dive.

:rofl3:maybe you could convince someone to put Sas in luggage on the next trip to Melbourne! We are getting pretty fed up with it spittling rubble and sand in front of our cameras and on top of our subjects!:rofl3:

A starfish attached to your butt:confused: Now that would have to be a very slow paced dive or a very fast starfish cause you don't have a lot of butt to attach to.:eyebrow:
