Friend of mine works in our city aquarium - whilst executing diving feeds, the old lip nibbling (by hiwihiwi or kelpfish) seems to be an occupational hazard so I am told.

The triggerfish here in LA at the rigs are killers. Ontold numbers of rig divers have been attacked. One got me on the butt a few years ago right through the wetsuit. Another got my buddy twice, once on the forehead and once on the ever tasty earlobe....killers I tell you. Damsel fish are pretty nasty too, good thing they dont get big.

Dang, thats pretty wild man...........greatwhites over there.

Not the most flattering picture - ha ha - I don't have a dent at the top of my nose - but gives you an idea of the damage caused by the savage predator (8" Massachusetts Piranha).

They need to invent some sort of anti-fish lipbalm for divers :10:

Ha ha ha - yes - from now on this lipbalm will be called "lesson learned" and will consist of a neoprene dry glove covering my lips if I want to enjoy a close encounter ;)

Is that a little something like Shark Repellant? :monkeydan

Waiting for the book -- Moby Cunner, with Capt. Matthab, peg-lipped :)
