I thought left is more appropriate? 😂
Isn't the left one supposed to be for emergency equipment?

P/S: Apologies if I missed the joke.

Oh half and half. I kind of think if I have to result to whistle to let boat know where I am, it is emergency?
My bad, by left I meant right... The right pocket is supposed to be for emergency equipment.

If you are ever diving without pockets, you can put a flat whistle in your key pocket often sewn inside the back zipper. If you are lost at sea in just your wetsuit, you have a whistle at least. If you needed it diving, you'd have to remove your tank and unzip your suit to reach it. But, in a survival situation, you could possibly lose your tank and any whistle attached to your rig. If your whistle is in that key pocket, you've got it if you have nothing else.

Small very loud brass whistle on the corrugated hose, easy to find and not digging around in pockets [I do have a plastic one with a small mirror in a pocket, or clipped on my harness].
Cleans up and looks 'smick' after going through the ultrasonic cleaner with other brass.
