Thank you, will take some pics and measurements and post them here tomorrow.

A backplate is on my wish list (other financial priorities at the moment unfortunately), but the Conquest II suits me with DM'ing and recreational diving standpoint.
If the corrugated hose is standard 1” a fix will be easy so long as the shoulder valve works ok.

The valve is actually the main concern (failing open), but the inflator has also experienced issues (auto inflate). My preference is to replace the entire assembly.

So many makers prefer to use proprietary fittings that you are unlikely to find something that can directly replace that valve. Is there something unusual about the valve itself? I was under the impression (once again having never seen one) that the actual weirdness was all at the inflator end.

You’re right, there’s a lot of weirdness in the inflator, but the dump valve is also unique in that it can be opened by a separate button, pneumatically on the inflator, which only works when the inflator is pressurised.

A pneumatic pull dump, if the hose is 1” just replace the inflator and ignore the rest, I doubt it’s any more failure prone to fail than the common opv. You’ll have to live with lifting the inflator to dump air but that have most people do it.

Supposedly, my Zeagle Stiletto has some kind of pull to dump valve integrated into the inflator. It may as well not exist for all that I use it.
