Feature set wise the computers are different parts of the spectrum, color screen+gps+compass vs. low cost+mono dot matrix.. neither have AI.
Agree with hsinhai. Both dive watch/comp targets the recreational divers market, with atmos having additional "good looking" features. lol
Got my atmos mission early 2019 after bumping into in while i was looking at suunto d5. It was exactly what i was looking for (not too expensive, color screen, "watch" like, good set of features and recognised algorithm). Was so glad that i got it, managed to compare a little with some of my dive mates (deepblu, suunto d4i, crest cr-4).
+ screen color and brightness are awesome for me
+ great screen layout, 2nd to deepblu (they have larger and rectangular screen.. lol)
+ battery lasted well through my trips of at least 3 days (5 to 7 dives) in a single charge, i wear it as a watch when i'm not diving
+ all necessary data are collected and presented
+ less conservative than suunto (dive buddy hit NDL way earlier than the group with default settings)
+ able to sync with apps on both iOS and Android
- my watch's temperature recording tends to be 1'c/2'c warmer compared to others
- Android app is still at the early stage, i wrote to the team couple times and was informed they are rebuilding the app. On the other end, iOS app looks great. The jealousy whenever i watch other online reviewers of the dive comp & their iphones
- OTA updates via bluetooth is unstable, though the wire solves the problem and firmware upgraded within secs or a min
I had not used the GPS locator as my dives were mostly boat dives & guided shore dives.
