The last time I was in Coz, we met a couple diving with the same dive op as we were using. She had told us that one of the DM's for the dive operation we were using..touch her inappropriately underwater while her husband surfaced.

They reported this to the dive op owner and by the time our vacation was over, this guy was off working for another operation.

Unfortunately, it happens in every industry. Don't let this discourage you from diving or continuing on with your other activities.

Prayers and best wishes to you for a full recovery.

I would also hope the predator gets his time in prison.

Ditto, can't say it any better than this.

Incredible. Don't let one idiot keep you from experiencing the wonders of the undersea world. There are plenty of good instructors (and dive buddies) out there who would not even think of doing such a thing.

ScubaBoard has confirmed this assault to its satisfaction. We have removed
the names of the location and the agency involved to avoid possible issues.
fonfon5 is not a troll, and she is not making this story up.

let's please post with common sense and tact

also, the credit for the actual "boots on the ground" investigation goes to
BigJetDriver. thank you!

I take Andy's word that this incident has been confirmed so I would like to publicly apologize to fonfon 5. Hope you are mending and things are going well in theraphy.

It has been quite an ordeal. The dive instructor has been expelled from PADI and I was told by the PADI head investigator that it will be posted on their website today or tomorrow. His name is [name] and everyone should be aware of this name - if ever anyone dives in the [towns], Mexico areas. Thanks again for caring.

i want to remind everyone that we confirmed the name of the individual
and the reasons for his dismissal with the proper authorities before proceeding
with this thread.

also, just want to give credit to BigJetDriver for doing the real work on this one.

As others before me have said, I am sorry you should have had to have such a horrid experience while trying to learn and enjoy such a wonderfull sport! The sad truth is that there are always going to be some abusive people who find positions of authority in any walk of life, and who will use that position to harm others. It saddens me to see it happen even here in this normally open and beginner friendly sport. By reporting and exposing this misserable excuse for a human being you have helped us all. Thank you for being so brave, and again, sorry that you were so hurt. Hope you can find it in you to continue diving.
