I stand corrected. Alot of the FORMER SEALs were acting like clown as well as getting their hineys handed to them on missions.
I think Scott Halverson was the Class Clown. How about the time the SEALs on a team came up with the brilliant "hey, lets cover up the victims miles gear with a poncho" idea and then force fed it to the green beret who didn't want to cheat. (and who also got most of the kills on that mission) and then they got caught and kicked HIM off the squad! LAME!! (not to mention them throwing a hissey fit when the Marine Referee chewed them a new hiney.)

Im sure that SEALs and other spec war groups are some of the baddest men on the planet, but the others just don't seem to need to broadcast the attitude as much.

Let me see ... You are basing your opinion on a TV Show?????????

The only thing on TV that is real is live broadcast of news, and even that is slanted by where they choose to point the camera.

It is comments like yours that make me idolize...........

Charles Darwin.

Don, I bet you didn't see the show, and therefore have no idea what I am talking about in the first place. Yes pipedope, I am basing my opinion of how some of the former SEALs acted on the T.V. show, ON the T.V. show. Its rare that the american public sees special forces indivduals in such an up close and personal light, and the SEALs came off as much less than professional because of some of the yahoos on the show. You can say that they are not currently in the millitary, but they had SEAL on their uniforms and were representing that community. Did you watch it?

I think they killed Jim Hanson and covered it up!

They had SEALS on their uniforms.

Does that make McHale's NAVY and Sgt. Bilko indicative of the NAVY or Gomer Pyle USMC representative of the USMC?

Come on Iguana Don, we both know thats a lame analogy at best. Gomer and McCale were never in the Marines or Navy, and they were actors on Sit Coms, not on a competition based show featuring real Ex-special forces members as well at current SWAT team members using their millitary and/or SWAT skills to win a $50,000.oo prize. :froggy:

I am gonna move this to "Non-Diving Topics" as this has absolutely nothing to do with Technical Diving discussions.
