Only diving with a team that one knows well and practices with would greatly limit when and where most people would be able to dive. How would one start diving with this team if one doesn’t know them well and has never dived with them?Yes
Dive only with the team you know well and practice together. Or solo.
According to DAN, ~1/3 of fatalities are due to out of air. Out of those, only ~10% are equipment related. Most are due to lack of preparation, planning or skills. I am including "panic" into skills and proper training and practice may prevent panic. This data is from a recent study, I think 2021. Look it up - statistics speak for themselves.
If a diver is diving solo they’re carrying redundant gas like a pony or in a tech configuration. Divers in a tech configuration are not the majority of divers.
Also, I don’t want to risk being a part of that 10% of out of gas diving fatalities.
